The Cure je britanski rock sastav koji se nikada nije mogao svrstati ni u koji žanr. Osnovani su 1976. godine, u Crawleyu, West Sussexu.
Iako je bilo mnogo pokušaja da se sastav uvrsti u stil gothic rocka, zbog turobnih tekstova i izgleda frontmena i pjevača Roberta Smitha, sam Smith bi uvijek odbacivao pokušaj uvrštavanja pod bilo koji žanr. Do sada su The Cure prodali blizu 30 milijuna albuma širom svijeta.
